How To Get One

Virtually all* residential properties that are placed on the market for sale since 1 December 2008 require, by law, a Home Report which should be made available to prospective buyers.

It is essential that you commission the Home Report prior to putting your house up for sale, and you must allow one to two weeks for this exercise to be completed.

By law, only a surveyor who is a member of RICS is qualified to carry out the single survey and valuation and the energy report which form the basis of the Home Report. The final part of the Home Report, the property questionnaire, must be completed by the home seller.
